Recovering from the weekend--antique show!

Wow.  What a great weekend.  My friend Leslie had her antique show and it was fabulous.  I took 6 hooked rugs and sold 5 of them.  I was thrilled!  Of course I can't go to a good show like that without making purchases.  This is the dry sink I purchased.  It's perfect for my laundry room!
I put it in place last night and started to decorate around it...not sure if I love it yet, but I will probably play with it some more this weekend.

Not only did I work at the sale this weekend, but I hit two garage sales.  I purchased a couple of nice chairs to put in my booth....they are not antique, but have a good look.

I'm preparing for my parents to visit from Ohio so of course I'm moving things around cleaning like crazy!  I still have two weeks, but it will fly by!  Tonight I'm going to the farm to help move some cows....of course I'll take pictures!

I'm getting ready for an antique/craft show next weekend so I've been busy hooking a few small rugs to sell.  Last night I hooked on the way to a football game after stopping by the farm (boyfriend's place) to see Ellie.....the new pig!  She's a cutie!

Anyway, I've included a few pics of some of my small rugs.  I hope they sell!  I know I will find stuff at this antique show I want to buy.  You know how it is.....it's kind of like trading stuff sometimes.  Everyone brings their stuff and then buys from everyone else. 

This weekend I will be pricing stuff for Leslie's Show next weekend and also cleaning up the garage.  New pictures to be posted on Monday....if I've done my work over the weekend!  I'm heading to my antique booth tomorrow and will also take some pictures of my area.  Have a great weekend and enjoy this wonderful fall weather!!!

Bittersweet from the farm

My friend (okay....boyfriend) brought me some bittersweet from his farm.  I gathered it together and made some small bunches to put it my antique booth.  They really add color and go great with antiques and other decor.

Making Some Progress

I've been trying to get my blog page set up and I'm not very computer savvy so please bare with me!  I mentioned in my last post I would be working on my garage.  Well....I've included some before pictures and hopefully next week I'll have some after pictures.

Getting Started!

Good morning!  It's a beautiful day in Kansas!  I hope to share my love of decorating, antiques, and rug hooking through my blog.  Please stay tuned as I tackle my garage!  I have an antique booth and stuff is getting piled up in my garage.  I want to clean it up and have easy access to it through the winter months when I need to stock my antique booth.  Suggestions are always welcome!
